Nail Honey swatches and review

Hello lovelies! I have a major, photo- and text-heavy swatch-a-thon today from Nail Honey and I absolutely positively can't wait! But before we get on to the pretties, I wanted to address the elephant in the room and share my story.

I've noticed there's been a lot of talk about Bee throughout the nail community, especially recently. I've also noticed that whenever one person says something, a bunch of others will join in and it turns into an all-out mess of a flame post. I totally don't think it's fair that half of these people involved have had absolutely no experience with Bee and are just going by other peoples' stories. Cyber Bullying isn't okay, guys. Learn the whole story before you jump all over the drama simply for drama's sake.

Now as for my personal experience, this was my first time swatching for an indie so I couldn't be more excited! But when the weeks after purchasing my swatch package came and went I started to get wary and I'm sad to admit I did some research and believed that over Bee. Long story short, though, she was very apologetic over me not receiving my package and sent a new one shortly after which included a custom she made just for me. A couple of days after getting the new package, though, my neighbors showed up and told me they had had my first package for several days and were just now giving it back. >.> Anywho. Bee apologized for the error that wasn't even hers to begin with and even let me keep both packages. Personally, I'm happy with my experience with her despite the frustrations and I'd be more than willing to work with her again. Now onto the swatches, yes?

First up is Ultra Marine, a blue jelly base so packed with holographic glitters that is was opaque in one coat!

Next is Ultra Violet, a delicate lilac version of Ulltra Marine.

To be honest I'm not totally crazy about these, but that's mostly because I'm not the world's biggest glitter fan. Application and removal just frustrate me too much for the outcome to be worth my time in most cases. But aside from that, I'd give these two a strong B-.

These next polishes are part of Bee's upcoming "Press Play" collection, inspired by some of her favorite songs.

This is Red Light Special, a red crelly filled with red and a scattering of holographic micro glitters. This is two coats with my ring finger being one coat over a red creme.

I definitely prefer this one over the holographic glitters; the base was thinner and glitter less dense, making it a lot easier to work with. This one gets an A.

My next swatch is Bang Your Bangles, a glitter bomb filled with gold a multicolored glitters of various sizes. This is one coat over a gold creme; ringer finger is two coats alone.

This one was really fun. It felt like I had a party on my nails. (: The formula was relatively easy to work with, but I did have a little bit of dragging on my ring finger. Most likely an error on my part (still not used to glitters. :p) This one gets a B+.

Next is Ice, Ice, Baby, a glitter bomb loaded with various sized white and iridescent glitters. Shown here is one coat over an iridescent white with two coats alone on my ring finger.

This one is super cute, it reminds me of Elsa. This one was a breeze to work with and I'll be wearing it quite a lot. A+!

Next is Blurred Lines, a grey creme filled with iridescent shimmer. I'm wearing two coats here.

This one is super cool, and I don't think I've seen anything like it before. The closest thing I have in my collection is a shimmery matte grey, and even with top coat they look nothing alike. Plus I love shimmery cremes. A for uniqueness. (:

Finally I have Back to Black, a black crelly with silver micro glitters. Shown wearing two coats.

I think this is my favorite from the collection, partially because I have a soft spot for blacks. But I do really like the versatility of this one. It's transparent enough to be used in a jelly sammich, but opaque enough to be worn on its own in 2-3 coats. This one gets an A+.

All around, I really like these polishes and I think they're going to get quite a lot of use. Also 10/10 will most likely buy the rest of the new collection. (:

I hope you guys enjoyed! xo

Polish TBH Uniquely Me

Hello lovelies! Today I have a charity polish for a cause super near and dear to my heart. Made by Polish TBH, Uniquely Me is a dark aqua jelly with blue, yellow, green, red, black, and white glitters of various shapes and sizes and just a teeny bit of holo dust, inspired by the Autism Awareness puzzle piece logo. This polish was made to help a very special little guy named Joe get his much needed service dog, and Chrissy has tons more info about all this on her blog post.
As a big sister to a four-year-old with high functioning Autism, I literally counted the days for this polish to be released and bought my bottle the day it came out. Needless to say, I was far from disappointed by this gorgeous glitter bomb. Shall we get on to the swatchy swatchies? I think yes! All photos are one coat of Uniquely Me over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (original formula) with my ring finger being to coats of Uniquely Me on its own.

Christian still has a few bottles of this gorgeous LE left in her shop, and as Dough For Joe has already met its goal thanks to an anonymous donor, $10 from all remaining bottles will go to the North Star Foundation, a charity that provides service dogs to families with disabled children. Go grab your bottle while you can! xo

Supernatural Lacquer - Endless Posibilities

I ordered my very first Supernatural Lacquer, Endless Possibilities, about a week ago and it arrived yesterday. I was so excited, so of course I had to swatch it as soon as possible! This polish is absolutely adorable. It's a light blue shimmery crelly with red, yellow, and aqua square glitters and black and white micro glitters modeled after the Autism Awareness puzzle piece ribbon. As an Autism big sister, I absolutely had to snag a bottle of this because 50% of the proceeds go to the Autism Services Center of Huntington, WV.

I hope you guys enjoy! xo
