Elevation Polish In the Heart of Vineyard Country

Press sample

Good evening, darlings!! Today I have 3 beautiful polishes from Elevation's new collection, In the Heart of Vineyard Country. I'll admit I know absolutely nothing about wine, but if it looks anything like these pretties I might have to start drinking a whole lot of it!

First is Albariza, a dove gray almost white subtle holo shimmer. It looks like a plain light gray in low light but when the light hits it, the holo comes to life. I feel like the delicate subtlety of the holo compliments the color perfectly. This is 3 coats with top coat.

Next is Columbia Plateau, a rusty red with holo shimmer and a hint of ultrachrome red flakies. I'm usually not a fan of browns or brown tones but this one is really pretty and so multidimensional and fun to look at it might just change my mind about that. 3 coats with top coat here.

And finally I have Dentelles de Montmirail, a bright berry pink holo. I love pink and I love all things holo so I'm around 90% sure this polish was a gift specifically for me from the polish gods. I wore it to work a couple of days ago and found myself getting quite distracted by it!  I'm wearing 3 coats but I could have easily gotten away with 2.

These and the rest of the In the Heart of Vineyard Country collection will be available from Elevation Polish beginning Thursday January the Seventh at 9 pm central so don't miss out!

Elevation Core Collection Part 2

Good evening loves and welcome to my new blog! I've been wanting to make a change for a really long time and I'm so excited for a fresh start now that I've finally gone through with it!

Tonight I have some more swatches from Elevation Polish's core line and I really love these so let's get started!!

First up is Iceberg Lake, a soft dusty jade/minty creme with just a teeny hint of subtle shimmer. I'm a sucker for mint greens and this one is no exception. I love that the shimmer is super subtle but just enough to add beautiful depth and dimension.

Next is Scrape With Screw, a deep cranberry red holo. I love wearing vampy colors around this time of year and the holo-sparkle-ness of this one is super festive and makes it great for the holidays. I'm sure I'll be using this in a Christmas mani or two!

Finally I have The Walker, a bright purple linear holo. And oh my goodness I don't even know where to begin with this one! Purple holos are my very favorites so I might be a bit biased but I absolutely adore this. It's such a pretty color and the holo is so strong I ended up getting blinded by rainbows even in low light.

I hope you guys enjoyed these, they're all in stock and can be found at http://elevationpolish.com

Elevation Polish core collection swatches

Hello dears!! I had the wonderful opportunity to swatch some polishes from Elevation Polish's core line and I'm really excited to show these to you guys!!

First up is Epidote 2, a mossy green holo. This polish actually reminds me a lot of Butter London's Dosh but holo-ified. It's pigmented enough that I could almost get away with one coat, save for a few bald spots here and there. I'm wearing 2 coats with top coat here.

Next is Sunset Among the Palms, a bright magenta scattered holo with little blue flakies. This is such a fun color and the flakies add a lot of depth to it, but my only complaint is that the holo doesn't translate on the nail quite as well as I was expecting. This is two coats with top coat.

Finally I have Just Like Night Time, a dark navy/midnight blue linear (but also slightly scattered?) holo with just a little but of light blue shimmer. This is my very favorite of the three, it's absolutely incredible. In low light it doesn't look like very much (although luckily it doesn't lose its blue), but as soon as the light hits it the holo completely brings it to life. I'm wearing two coats with top coat.

I'm always really bad at writing conclusions so these are lovely polishes; the formulas are great, they're highly pigmented, and you can never go wrong with holo! And yep. I hope you guys enjoyed!!! xo

*These polishes were sent to me free of charge by Team Elevation for swatching. This does not in any way effect my opinion or the honesty regarding these polishes*

Tux Polish Vampire Punch

Yikes I haven't done a blog post in approximately forever and a half I'm sorry guys! Anyway I was incredibly fortunate to win a couple of prizes from the recent Indie Swatch One Hundred Kay Giveaway, one of them being a 40% off code from Tux Polish. I recently used my code to get a few polishes and one of them was just so pretty I felt compelled to make a blog post so I could rave about it!!

So this is Vampire Punch, a gorgeous bright red holo from the Holo-Ween Night Collection. It's absolutely beautiful, super smooth and applies like a dream, really fast drying, and looks amazing in the sunlight. Vampire Punch will be restocked and available November 13th at http://tuxpolish.com

I'm wearing two coats here topped with Glisten and Glow H K Girl top coat.

I also decided to do a teeny bit of nail art with Essie Licorice and starburst vinyls from http://nailvinyls.com and I'm super happy with how it came out as red and black has always been one of my favorite color combinations

I hope you guys like and I'll try my very best to post more often! xo

Tomb Service makeup swatches and review

Hi ladies! I know I haven't posted on here in a while and I'm super sorry!! I have exciting stuff today, though! Okay so there's this small local gothic/horror inspired clothing company a couple of towns over from me and they've just recently started development for a makeup line and have asked me to swatch and test for them! My first batch of stuff is some nail polish and matching eye shadows. Fair warning - I've never done eye swatches before so they're kinda lame but I tried!!! Okay on to the pretties!

First up is Scream Queen. It's a pretty light purple with a subtle scattered holo. It's really sheer and I like that it's good for building color.

Next is Cerberus. This is a darker purple scattered holo that tends to change colors a lot in different lighting.

Next up is Bitchcraft. This is a super dark blurple, almost black glitter polish.

This one is Oh My Goth. I currently don't have a polish for it (formula is still in the works) but it's a really pretty matte black.

This is Zombie Virus, a bright metallic lime green.

Finally this is Monster Bash. This is a bright metallic aqua blue, and my very favorite of the bunch.

These were all really great and easy to work with, and every polish except for Scream Queen was basically opaque in one coat. My favorite formulas are definitely Zombie Virus and Monster Bash, super smooth and I think the prettiest of the bunch.

Tomb Service: Makeup to Die For! will be launching this summer, but for now you can check out their website for T shirts, hoodies, iPhone cases, compact mirrors, and more!
