Darling Diva Polish Group Customs

Good afternoon, lovelies!! Today I have a couple of beautiful group customs from the creative mind of Carrie over at Darling Diva Polish. I was so excited to get these as I got to be involved in the process; my color inspiration photo and name was picked for one of the polishes! But I must say, these were both super hard to photograph; I had to get pretty creative with my lighting and angles and I still don't think I captured all the beauty these polishes hold.

First up is Fucking (released as Fricken) Swallow, inspired by a beautiful and very Tumblr-esque edit of the Tulip Nebula.

This is a dark blurple jelly packed with about a million and a half different colored flakies. I'm wearing 3 coats here.

Next up is Ink Spill, inspired by a piece from photographer Alberto Seveso's Underwater Ink series.

This one is my favorite, but I'm a little teeny bit biased as this is my photo and name. It's a light blue with a subtle purple shimmer and a generous dusting of holo. This is 3 coats.

Ooh La Lacquer Besos Trio

Good afternoon, darlings! Today I'm super excited to share a new to me indie, Ooh La Lacquer! I was recently asked to swatch for Nastassia and a couple of days ago I received my package with a lovely hand written note thanking me for agreeing to swatch and explaining the polishes I was sent. This is the Besos Trio, originally meant to be limited edition Valentine's Day set but due to their popularity they've now become a permanent edition to her shop!

Anyway let's get on to the pretties. yes???

First up is Smooches, a fun pink glitter bomb with a sprinkling of red and holo glitters as well. I don't often wear glitter so I do need to work on my technique but this is around one and a half-ish? dabbed coats with a generous layer of topcoat.

Next is Muah, a bright hot pink creme with gold flakies. This one was super sheer at first but built up really well. I'm wearing three coats with top coat.

And finally I have Tender Kisses, a light rose-ish, bubblegum-ish, baby-ish pink holo with a teensy bit of gold flakies. It's difficult to actually see the flakies themselves, but they add some sort of magical metallic depth to the polish. This is 3 coats with top coat.

Elevation Polish In the Heart of Vineyard Country

Press sample

Good evening, darlings!! Today I have 3 beautiful polishes from Elevation's new collection, In the Heart of Vineyard Country. I'll admit I know absolutely nothing about wine, but if it looks anything like these pretties I might have to start drinking a whole lot of it!

First is Albariza, a dove gray almost white subtle holo shimmer. It looks like a plain light gray in low light but when the light hits it, the holo comes to life. I feel like the delicate subtlety of the holo compliments the color perfectly. This is 3 coats with top coat.

Next is Columbia Plateau, a rusty red with holo shimmer and a hint of ultrachrome red flakies. I'm usually not a fan of browns or brown tones but this one is really pretty and so multidimensional and fun to look at it might just change my mind about that. 3 coats with top coat here.

And finally I have Dentelles de Montmirail, a bright berry pink holo. I love pink and I love all things holo so I'm around 90% sure this polish was a gift specifically for me from the polish gods. I wore it to work a couple of days ago and found myself getting quite distracted by it!  I'm wearing 3 coats but I could have easily gotten away with 2.

These and the rest of the In the Heart of Vineyard Country collection will be available from Elevation Polish beginning Thursday January the Seventh at 9 pm central so don't miss out!

Elevation Core Collection Part 2

Good evening loves and welcome to my new blog! I've been wanting to make a change for a really long time and I'm so excited for a fresh start now that I've finally gone through with it!

Tonight I have some more swatches from Elevation Polish's core line and I really love these so let's get started!!

First up is Iceberg Lake, a soft dusty jade/minty creme with just a teeny hint of subtle shimmer. I'm a sucker for mint greens and this one is no exception. I love that the shimmer is super subtle but just enough to add beautiful depth and dimension.

Next is Scrape With Screw, a deep cranberry red holo. I love wearing vampy colors around this time of year and the holo-sparkle-ness of this one is super festive and makes it great for the holidays. I'm sure I'll be using this in a Christmas mani or two!

Finally I have The Walker, a bright purple linear holo. And oh my goodness I don't even know where to begin with this one! Purple holos are my very favorites so I might be a bit biased but I absolutely adore this. It's such a pretty color and the holo is so strong I ended up getting blinded by rainbows even in low light.

I hope you guys enjoyed these, they're all in stock and can be found at http://elevationpolish.com
